What is the Abandoned School?
Abandoned School is a first-person horror escape game with environmental exploration, object acquisition and survival difficulties. You play as a young guy who wakes up on a chilly floor inside a decaying school with no reason for how he got there. Your mission is to explore the building, locate valuable items, unlock secret areas, and find an exit, all while avoiding otherworldly monsters. Your research is tense, and a Fear meter might drain away, killing your character if it goes down to zero.
Secret Doors and Locked Keys at School
School is not only a scary place. The mansion's linking chambers, with keys, unusual things, and closed doors, are the most mysterious.
Start Your Vacation in the Bathroom
The first important finding occurs in the bathroom. Go to the third stall and hit the button. A key will fall into the bowl, giving you the item to open a classroom door.
This little puzzle shows you the main game mechanic: looking around the normal environment for something that unlocks other places. Grab the key and locate the classroom entry it opens, and then continue your inquiry.
Search Rooms for Useful Stuff
Find objects in each area to unlock new chambers. Keep these things in mind:
- Look around: Find valuable items in desks, lockers, damaged furniture, and bizarre stuff.
- Find extra keys: There are several chambers and entrances that need special items to get inside.
- Remember closed doors: If you can't open a door yet, write down where it is and come back when you have the thing you need.
- Explore thoroughly: Don’t think that since you stepped inside one classroom you’ve solved all the puzzles in that region.
The Fear Meter Reimagines Your Exploration
One of the distinguishing mechanics is the Fear meter, which appears in the corner of the screen. The closer ghosts get to your character, the more afraid your character becomes as the meter goes down. If it hits 0, your character dies.
What this means is that exploring a life is strongly related to your decisions. If you study a location too long, even if there is nothing important in that spot, it may be lethal if there is a ghost there.
